Vinod and the Deepavali Dishes
It is a busy and exciting day for young Vinod! He accompanies his Aunt Meera to the bustling markets of Little India on a shopping errand to prepare for Deepavali, the festival of lights. Along the way, he takes in the vibrant sights, rhythmic sounds, and rich colors of the festival season. However, the real surprise awaits him when they return home. Vinod discovers that his grandfather, whom he warmly calls Tatta, used to be a professional chef as he watches him effortlessly fry up batches of delicious-smelling, perfect-looking murukku. Inspired by his family's rich culinary traditions, Vinod decides to put his own creative juices to work by helping out in the kitchen and designing a beautiful, festive food menu decorated with traditional lamps and candles.
